TUFA Initiative works to unlock potential for marginalized communities; persons with disabilities, children, youth, and rural populations across education, health and nutrition, and sustainable agriculture. It’s ambitious, cross-sector work, aligned with Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The challenge was building a digital presence ambitious enough to match that scope, for an organization still establishing itself with government and institutional partners.
We built TUFA’s website and communications strategy to do two things at once: introduce the organization clearly to funders and partners meeting it for the first time, and give TUFA’s own board and growing partner network (including RDO, TEACH Tanzania, and the Foundation for Civil Society) a professional home base to point people to. Because inclusion is core to TUFA’s mission, we paid particular attention to building a site that’s genuinely accessible, not just one that talks about inclusion.
Alongside the website, we set up ongoing social media management so that TUFA’s fast-moving work; school handovers, district-level partnerships, workshops gets documented and shared consistently, giving donors and partners an up-to-date view of the organization between formal reports.
TUFA Initiative (The Universe For All) is a Tanzanian NGO based in Mufindi, working to promote inclusive, holistic, and sustainable development through research, education, advocacy, and empowerment with a particular focus on persons with disabilities, children, youth, and rural communities.
As a growing organization building relationships with government bodies, donors, and established partners, TUFA needed a digital presence that reflected the seriousness and scale of its ambitions including an accessible, well-organized website and a consistent social media presence rather than one that read as a startup still finding its footing.
We structured the site around TUFA’s three core pillars education, health & nutrition, and agriculture & livelihoods with a clear “who we are” narrative connecting the mission to the communities it serves. Accessibility was treated as a design requirement, not an afterthought, in keeping with TUFA’s own mission. We paired the site with an ongoing communications and social media plan so the organization’s partnerships and fieldwork stay visible to funders and collaborators in real time.
